Gorgonzola: Prices and Production

The Gorgonzola’s price lines could be explained by the following :
  • The final negotiations/signed contracts over the farm gate milk price in Lombardy and the price on spot imported milk could affect the trend price of Gorgonzola
  • the seasonal demand (stronger in winter) and the cheese conservation;
  • export volumes;
  • the new entry on the domestic and international markets of counterfeits or similar products at low prices.
