Note:
Since oil price may determine the purchasing power of oil producing countries (i.e. Middle Eastern States, Russia, Mexico, Venezuela...), we are of the opinion that their changes could potentially impact on these countries' willingness to buy additional dairy products such as Milk Powders and Cheddar cheese.

The reasons may be:
  • the major oil producing countries are also significant importers of the above mentioned dairy products;
  • in these countries the increase in oil price, may drive to higher willingness to buy dairy products;
  • commodity price level (for the local consumer) should not be too much higher than the current "ask" price, otherwise countries' willingness to buy dairy products could decline; at the same time high level of oil price may direct oil Purchaser toward alternative sources and as a consequence it may influence income of the oil producing countries.
