It is interesting to note that the domestic spot milk prices follows the trend of the imported bulk milk price.
The comparison, then, between the Lombardy raw milk price (determined yearly) and the spot milk price, becomes the base for negotiation of milk prices on an yearly basis by dairy farmers and/or dairy manufactures.

The Chamber of Commerce makes use of technical commissions, expressly assigned, to ascertain the prices.
